Is the community going to sit around defending 11 dimensional chess moves again, or will dailykos work to push this President to do what he was elected to do?   Obama needs to be convinced he won with a mandate and to use the bully pulpit to do the will of the people.   We need to drive home the fact that Boner and the GOP ran and lost on the compromises they are asking him to make.   We need to convince him to stand up and challenge those fools to stop thwarting the will of the voters.

There is a ton of revenue out there, and the Democrats with the bully pulpit need to go get it:  cut bases overseas, let the Bush tax cuts expire, tax wall street transactions, end the war now, and tax money and jobs offshore.      You can't invest in America without money, and austerity is not the way to rebuild the middle class.

So what direction does daily kos plan to supply?    Will this become a more activist site like it use to be, or will the community be allowed to wander in the desert looking for a fiscal cliff to jump off of?

If money is speech, then speech must be money. Call your mortgage company and pay your rent now.

or continue to HR people who criticize Obama?

from what I have seen, Obama seems to be on the path of the Grand Bargain
