Yesterday kos posted a diary about the romney campaign being completely flummoxed by their loss:

[T]hey believed the public/media polls were skewed - they thought those polls oversampled Democrats and didn't reflect Republican enthusiasm. They based their own internal polls on turnout levels more favorable to Romney.

Now you can't tell me that there weren't people on the Romney campaign staff that knew this was complete bullshit, but never said anything. Or they were ignored.
What does that say about the current Republican party?

“We are not a nation that says ‘don’t ask, don’t tell.’ We are a nation that says ‘out of many, we are one.’” -Barack Obama

    •  I heard on RMS that OFA sampled 29000+ for (4+ / 0-)

thier internal polls which gave them a far more accurate snapshot.

If you insist on living in a padded bubble you don't look for real facts... you look for people who will give you the ones you like.

How can you tell when Rmoney is lying? His lips are moving. Fear is the Mind Killer

    •  I heard that OFA ran polls sampling up to 29000 (0+ / 0-)

voters so thier internal polls gave them a far more accurate snapshot ( most polls were between 1000 and 1500). Where there was weakness they ramped up the grassroots efforts...

I am registered as an independent in a swing state (Colorado). I got calls from probably eight or ten different polling agencies, but the most frequent came from the Romney campaign (i think it was called Study America). I always answered that i was voting for Obama. I think they kept calling me back to see if they'd somehow convinced me to change my vote.

I expect that they were willfully ignoring their own polls, in favor of the turnout argument.
