    Now I have two names from NY for the next Leiberman!

    We are such a solid blue state, WTF is the matter with these people?!!!!

    BTW Cuomo needs to be primaried in 2014..remember what Kos says...BETTER DEMOCRATS!

    Schumer isn't up until 2016 :(

      If he did NOT make that comment, my list goes back to just Cuomo

      And an apology in advance should it be proven that Schumer did not make the comment this diary stated he did

        Schumer definitely made that comment. Here's a direct quote from the Times piece: "Senator Charles E. Schumer of New York...extended an olive branch to Republicans, suggesting Thursday that he could accept a tax plan that leaves the top tax rate at 35 percent..." The rest of the quote was about making sure that the middle class would not by hurt by loophole closings; fine, but it does not change Schumer's indefensible offer of a top 35% rate.

        Correct. Schumer is, and always has been, a major defender of the huge tax break for hedge fund managers (the so-called carried interest tax break, which allows them to have their earnings taxed at the capital gains rate of 15%).
