and one Frankenstorm.  If there is a God, well I shouldn't really say that.  What I should say is that if i believed in aGod, it was distinctly personal and had something to do with human inventiveness.  I never believed in a God that
had much to do with human affairs.  And then came Hurricane Isaac which threw the Republicans off their game for their convention and then Sandy the Frankenstorm, the weekend before the election: whatever you say about the polls before hand, what the storm gave not just Obama, but Christie and Bloomberg some strong messages and of course gave Obama the chance to do what he does so well, show up.
Now to imagine a deity that would put destroy the lives of millions of people just to influence an election is  probably immoral, nonetheless if I were the sort of person who believed in a god, and a god who would subject the people of the earth to a disaster of biblical proportions such as Noah suffered, or the people of Sodom and Gomorrah, then I might believe that this God was not going to put up with a victory for the money changers any longer.   I might believe, if put carefully, that the message from God was to do exactly what people did, return the proper leader to the leadership position and further point out to the rest of us the mess we are making of the earth of which we are supposed to be the stewards.
