    IMHO, the freakout started with the MSNBC crew right after the debate.  Maddow et al seemed to see a different debate than I saw, and their narrative stuck, then festered.  By morning, it was going strong here.

    Did I freak out?  No, in fact I was here defending what I saw as an Obama victory of maturity and integrity against a truly freaked out Romney.  No matter.  But the polling suggested that Obama took a hit from which he never really recovered fully.  Yeah, the EV maps still looked good; but I never felt as confident about the outcome as I did prior to that debate.  That debate gave Romney a lifeline I'd have rather he not had.   I saw the election getting closer to the territory where voter supression could conceivably make a difference.  

    Of course, that just made me work a little harder and the eventual victory sweeter, so there's that.
