  •  Right 2 Vote should be granted every citizen at 18 (5+ / 0-)

years of age.  No need for registration...it should be automatic, like getting a driver's license or social security card. Period.

Vote by mail, why not?  Cuts the cost of hiring all those poll workers, as well as space to hold the elections. Several states already do this.

Campaign finance reform....get big $ out of politics (reverse or overturn Citizens United with a constitutional amendment, or other congressional legislation), and limit state/local ads to state/local businesses--no outside funds allowed. Period.  So the voice of the locals is not drowned out by outside special interests.

This all seems so simple, elegant. Why shouldn't it be easy?  The goal should be to encourage the participation of citizens.

that is an elegant solution, soaglow.

      Automatic registration.

tied to the initiation in to the Social Security ID.

There could be a "Change of Address" problem,

but not if your address were assumed to be the same as your Driver's License or State ID,

or Utility bill -- Or Tax Return!

Isn't it time to fix the Filibuster?

registration list for every official moment, like when they get a birth certificate, draft card, social security number, drivers license,  homeland security file (lol just a little Patriot Act humor, sorry).

Since all the files are easily traced, why not allow email voting, or voting bay you bank ATM machine?

but expect there to be massive resistance to any such improvements, because

the right can only win if the electorate is kept small

how many more votes would pbo have gotten if everyone could vote?

      millions and millions
