  •  Thanks - there was a diary last night (0+ / 0-)

That had Barber gaining only 500 votes per 21,000 in Pima, but I think it's clear now that the 500 vote gain included not just the 21,000 from Pima, but also some number from Cochise.  Unless Cochise is holding back some large number of votes, that would imply that Barber is gaining despite the Cochise votes, which is a good sign.

    •  out of only 14k in Pima (0+ / 0-)

The 21k was what they hoped to do. 14K is what they did.

    •  his current lead of 586 comes from Pima (0+ / 0-)

Cochise did not add anymore votes today

      •  Ah, I misread your diary (0+ / 0-)

I thought the numbers showed he got votes from Cochise.

So why isn't Cochise counting their votes?  Don't they only have 10 days?  What's going on over there?

they have counted the early and regular and have a modest number of provisionals..since no one is showing a single provisional count yet on the website, maybe there is a state wide reason or a step in the process involving the verification before the provisionals can be logged in..every county is still showing Zero
Cochise  has a small population..i think they are on top of their count. i don;t think there are that many provisionals in comparison to Pima.

it could be that Cochise had a smaller % turnout.. that is what was so puzzling about Cochise and what personally made me apprehensive.. now i am willing to accept they had a lower turnout...

then again that's just my sense of it..so don't take my word for it!! :)

because the number has gone up in the senate race. But, it is still less than 4000 out of 160,000.

            •  it's frustrating isn't it? (1+ / 0-)

Provisional ballots are like these invisible creatures  in the cafe..they are taking up space, we kind of know how big  they are and how many there are overall, we just don't really know  which seats they are going to sit at, what they want to drink and when they are going to start ordering off the menu!
