      I already know about the gains.

      What I really want to know is how 2010 all happened. Things like this do not happen without something causing it to happen. At least in the real world ... things tend to work that way.

      To tell you the truth ... I have no idea how 2010 gains happened. The problem is it could very well happen again!

        Sarah Palin and her death panels
        Glenn Beck was at his peak
        The recovery had not yet taken hold
        The tea party was worried about the economy and government spending (and not about women's bodies)

        And some mistakes from team Obama
        PBO was being too conciliatory
        Michelle refused to campaign
        Nervous dems did not celebrate the ACA - we let the other side "define it"

          Item #3 makes the most sense to me. Also, that last item about not putting the arms around the ACA looks like a pretty reasonable explanation too.
