has always been a Democratic weakness, and it was Obama's greatest weakness in his first term.

The Repubs always win the message wars with worse policies.  I think we should all do everything we can to suggest better messaging.

Why do Dems use terms put forward by Repubs like:

Bailout, instead of Rescue or Stimulus.

      Pro-Life, instead of Anti-Choice.

Big Government, instead of Effective Government.

Fiscal Cliff, instead of Republican Hostage Deadline.

These are all loaded terms, and yet our people repeat them in front of the camera constantly.

These Repub frames need to be fought every day and never accepted by us.

I got news for you. Obama won the message war this time.

But he won the election, which is not the same as winning the messaging war.

Almost 60 million voters, almost 48% of the electorate, voted for Romney and the disastrous platform he stood for.  If our messaging was so great, we would have won by an even greater margin.  How could a choice between Dem and Rep policies be this close?

          Messaging.

Even now, Reps are talking not about changing their views, but how to package them better, use nicer words that obfuscate their true beliefs to appeal to women, young people, and people of color.

          Messaging.

We need to get better at this, both at the top and on down-ticket races.

Use it in all comments, letters to editors, and communications to your representatives!

The problem is we're arguing about the wallpaper and we haven't even got a foundation yet.

      doing.

Like any good employer, I'll give him a lot of leeway to perform his job as he sees fit, BUT, when I see areas in which he might improve, I'll let him know. I'M the boss. So are YOU. Don't abdicate your responsibility to help your employee to do the best job he can.
