said in a post a few weeks ago that Obama might be changing his mind on some things regarding education. She said there are signs in his recent speeches about education :)

    •  That would be a welcome relief! (1+ / 0-)

But he would have to do some serious and honest explaining because he would have to change major planks in his policy, ones he lauded all along. Like Arne.

It could have been wishful thinking on her part.

I wrote him a letter telling him why, for the first time, I would not be voting for the Democrat (him) for president.

I voted for the Green for senate too. Dems go along. It is a rare one who bucks this bandwagon.

I knew blue would win the prez and senate here in NY, but it did allow me to vote my heart. And my heart has been extremely angry at what has been done by Democrats, in bipartisan unity with Republicans, to education.

I had already been disappointed by Dems before and during his tenure, and with him, so the party's credit was weak, the fabric worn thin. But his treatment of teachers, the profession, public schools, etc... it drove me over the line.

Of course, his own lovely daughters dont get schooled under the reform nastiness he has blanketed the nation with, since they attend Sidwell Friends.

Should a "progressive" Dem blog dwell in the safe zones of a lame party, or should it drive a lame party to break out? If it cant, should it break out?
