  •  Pretty scary diary that condones brain (3+ / 0-)

scanning in selecting who is fit for public office.  What else is detectable that we can screen for?  Maybe it should be a condition for voting.  Must pass a brain scan based on not having a belief, any belief.  Being a non-believer I think the wall between State and Religion should be a strong fortified wall but I'm not in favor of having brain scans. This type of thinking scares me.  Maybe there is a brain scan for this type of thinking as well.

Romney is George W. Bush without brains.

...to use as their channel of religious authoritarianism and fund raising -- the issue will go away.

(Although the scan would have nailed the largely brain-dead Reagan, which would have been a blessing for America.)

If the government decides that urine tests, polygraph tests, or whatever kind of tests are necessary for certain sensitive posts, such tests are added to the process without fanfare, controversy, or oversight as to what they are looking for and how.

From what I've read, Mormons have historically been over-represented in the CIA and other secret agencies, because their loyalty is considered strengthened by church beliefs that the U.S. is divinely favored.

The Dutch kids' chorus Kinderen voor Kinderen wishes all the world's children freedom from hunger, ignorance, and war.

...before any other college. It's been that way as long as I can remember. Then, MIT.

I don't have a problem with that at all.
