    a small room filled with batteries that are fed by the roof. We have three days' worth of energy at all times. While it would be possible for a hurricane wind to blow off some panels, we would still have power. We lose power easily here in NC, where a car crash or single tree can knock down rural lines. We wait 17 seconds, switch to our batteries(that cover heat and cooling, too) and are fine. Well,we have to reset the clocks - that is how we know we had a power outage, most of the time.
