  •  These Fordham University Republicans (5+ / 0-)

are obviously not readers of newspapers nor do they listen to or watch television. This woman has been spewing hate for years and they've only recently found out about it? Veerrry different from college students back in my days.

But that tells you how long Coulter has been allowed to pollute political discourse, how good her publicists are at positioning her as a serious voice, and how she is enable by the mainstream media -- she was on This Week not too long ago.

    •  9/11 happened 11 years ago and they're 18-22 (0+ / 0-)

That means they were anywhere from seven to eleven years of age.  Tell me something:  how much did you pay attention to the news in that age range?

They surely would have been more interested in the disaster itself than anything, although I would imagine most of their parents would have shielded them from the worst of it.

And as I commented elsewhere here, just because someone has a reputation doesn't mean they've actually done anything horrible.  That may be where these kids were coming from--"oh, people just hate her because they don't agree with what she says."

I run across liberals who don't know what all Rush Limbaugh has said over the years.  Some of them older than me (I'm 38).  And we'd have more reason to care than these guys would about Coulter.

    •  oh and in case I wasn't clear, sorry... (0+ / 0-)

...I mention 9/11 because that's when Coulter made her infamous "kill or convert all the Muslims" remark.  (paraphrasing)

She's gotten up to dickens since but I really think that was the worst thing she ever said.
