There will be no GOP civil war.  I'm pretty sure the exact same thing was said in 2008.  The fact is the GOP is Mitt Romney.  They have no core.  They will say or do anything (lie) to win.  That will not change.  Platform will remain the same.  Remember the big deal about McCain being too moderate, a RINO, and that's why they lost.  In 2010, the Tea Party came in and swept into congress.  Who did they nominate for president in 2012?  Probably someone who was more moderate, at least who they think is moderate, than McCain.  There will be no civil war.  There will be the usual lip service to women, minorities and young voters.

"Never before in all our history have these forces been so united against one candidate as they stand today. They are unanimous in their hate for me--and I welcome their hatred." Franklin D. Roosevelt

    •  I don't think that (0+ / 0-)

McCain was the teaparty's first choice.

Its the stages of grief...this is more shock than anything else. The dust will settle and they will return to being the bastards we know most of them are. No splintering - but a jostling for power.

I actually want the power struggle to continue for a while and not splinter. That way it is very public and people know what is going on and the true evil deeds they plan for this country.

      I say proceed.

GOP: Get on the train or get the hell out of our way. Forward! This is our moment...this is our time! President Barack Obama
