    36,400 square miles of sea ice melted every day this summer?  Over the course of 90 days, that's about 3.2 million square miles.  I guess that's about 1600x2000 square miles, so maybe that's not so out of reach, but how does this compare with previous years.  Obviously, the ice pack melted over previous years as well, so is this 50% more?  2x, 3x, what?
