  •  I feel a big game of Musical Chairs about to (3+ / 0-)

happen within the media.  MSM doesn't really know what direction this whole thing may take.  I would hope that somewhere in the shake-up at least one real journalist misht emerge.

I think you're all aware that Ed's wife has cancer and has been undergoing Chemo, he may want to leave to spend more time taking care of her

Ed's show is against O'Reilly and although his numbers have been good as long as O'Reilly is in the 8 PM slot they won't be as good as NBC "thinks" they should be.

We've all forgotten 1 person - Martin Bashir.  Like him a lot and I think he should be on at a later hour.  Matthew's 7 PM show is a repeat of the 5 PM show and 7 PM would be better for Bashir.

Additionally, Willie Guist who started at 5:30 AM and was on "Morning Joe" has now been moved to NBC.  Don't know what they're doing with this time slot and who will take his place on Morning Joe (can't stand Scarborough, he's so pompus) but Klein maybe just low keyed enough for this slot and to be on Morning Joe.

      •  Put Martin on in the 7 PM slot (0+ / 0-)

(well, that's 4 PM on the Pacific coast where I am). He's excellent (and entertaining, too), and why the heck do they put that Mathews rerun on in that slot anyway?

What I'd like to see on weekends is not necessarily more political shows but more actual NEWS, like CNN did back in the good old days under Ted Turner. Important things DO happen on weekends, after all, and I hate having to turn to CNN or even FOX (gasp!) to learn what's going on in the world...
