    Like the Mullahs in Iran they can still bite, but time ain't on their side. The nation's demographics are changing too fast.  When Pope John Paul II went to Ireland one fifth of the nation turned out to see him. Now 35% of Ireland no longer identifies as religious. That's in less than two generations. The same thing is quickly happening here.

      But beware complacency.  Our work will never be truly finished -- even in two generations.  We can't let our guard down for even a moment.
