    it was a mistake.

that's what he said. that the biggest mistake he made in the first term was not "selling" his policies to the public. he vowed it would not be that way in the second.

    we all make mistakes.

    •  It's to fix all mistakes though... (0+ / 0-)

Having flushed our majorities down the toilet with how badly legislation was run in 2009-2010, Obama now has a Republican House that is basically gerrymandered in place.  They lost the popular vote for the House FFS and only lost a handful of seats!

Even if he's learned from his mistakes, it's possibly too late at this point.  The die is already cast.

      •  well if that's the case, why do you care? if nothi (1+ / 0-)

can be done  until 2014 then...

I mean, what are you suggesting he do? And what are you suggesting we do?

        come on.

      plenty.

Time to go overboard correcting them though. Let's see how to do that:

-Strike before the GOP has any chance to regroup in any way, shape or form. The POTUS needs to promote his plan to the masses.
-Start meeting small groups from the House and Senate, Repubs and Dems. Make sure that the first meeting is cordial, the next meeting will be a trip to the woodshed.
-In addition to the first point; despite how disagreeable it may seem, use the MSM-especially TV, Just don't preempt any popular programs. And don't do it on C-span. Make it sound more serious than it actually is. Scare the bejebus out of everyone. Suggest the most drastic things imaginable and back them off slowly. Hell Obama might even scare the TP'ers.

        2014 congressional districts.

In these events he'll explain to the american people what's happening in congress in simple terms. put some heat on recalcitrant teapublicans as they contemplate their 2014 races.

These idiots rely on people not knowing or understanding what's being done in washington. Obama ought to make it a priority that everyone does.

he said he would in this term. I'm holding him to it.
