    honorably, and if he wants a cabinet position, I think he should get one.  

    He'll be 73 years old in 2016, surely nearing the end of his career in public service.  Why not cap his career off with something like this?  

    I do think it's important to think about Massachusetts Senate--and I'm sure BO will make that part of his calculus.  But I'm all for giving serious weight to Kerry's desire to serve in the Cabinet, if that's what he wants.

      Kerry is not entitled to any position in government.  I respect his years of service -- he has been a very good Senator with improving constituent services.  He should serve out his term and help campaign for his replacement in 2016.  We should not lose this seat to the Republicans.  If Kerry steps down, Brown will run and win, and will be nearly impossible to unseat four years from now.
