  •  this is not rumor and innuendo (0+ / 0-)

We hear him talking; and while I don't think they shouldn't it is ambiguous exactly where Clinton is coming from.

    •  Nope, nothing ambiguous about it at all. (7+ / 0-)

Please read my comment where I post links about the whole context of the brief exchange between Clinton and Ryan from May 26, 2011:

First clip: Clinton clearly lays out his position at the Fiscal Summit, and in the 2nd clip is briefly telling Ryan what he has just talked about. The nutshell version: The Big Dog says something must be done to curb the inflationary Medicare costs, but the Ryan plan is not the solution. End of story. No nefarious, secret plots. Sheesh, get a grip.

    •  Clinton says he's glad Dems won the race (5+ / 0-)

in NY and then that he hopes "we don't sink into paralysis" in a conversation with a man he's never met before.

It's political chit chat signifying nothing.

And yet, you'd  think that Clinton actually said, "We need to cut Medicare. How can we help you?" from the response.

I don't mind cogent arguments for or against something that has clearly been floated or actually proposed but this is not that.
