This is REALLY worth watching.  Very much so....  He forgot his own talking points.  I most appreciate the reporter's unusual persistence....and Scott walked away.

RICK SCOTT UNABLE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS ON FLORIDA EARLY VOTING
Also, in a different version of this video, the reporter was chatting with the news anchors and one of them said, "Well, the governor doesn't have control over the days or the hours. The Republican legislature controls that."

And the kudos to the reporter for pointing out,

"The governor signed this into law. He could have vetoed it."
BTW: I originally found this as an AOL video and tried to embed it  but the embed code reports it won't play on dailykos.com domain.  Hmmmm...I can't imagine why they would create a firewall to this site... /snark  It's not even an AOL video; it was created by a local Orlando TV station.  So I searched and found which local created it and linked to their site instead.  They don't provide this version and don't provide embed code anyway.
    •  And yet both Republican Governors (0+ / 0-)

Charlie Crist and Jeb Bush extended hours in previous elections.

I don't remember reading anything about the legislator also talking away the governor's power to extend the hours in that new law they pushed through to shorten early voting.

I wonder if now that President Obama will never be on the ballot again, we will see a new round of Early Voting laws here in Florida?
