  •  more likely IMHO that (11+ / 0-)

Scarborough heard sod all and is just trying to make himself look as if he's one of the "in the know crowd".

He wants to be careful that big head of his doesn't get him in trouble. People might want to question where and who from he heard those "rumours".

    •  Which might explain (4+ / 0-)

why his jets were a little cooler this morning.

    •  I'd love to see Cantor in the witness chair ... (0+ / 0-)

at a Congressional hearing, but I don't think it is going to happen--unless DiFi puts him there.   No, I suspect Special Agent Shirtless started shopping his story around (what he knew of it), and ticklers probably went to several outlets.  If Shirtless didn't know yet about Petraeus' involvement, then all he had was an alleged cover-up with national security implications.  If Cantor heard about Petraeus, then Shirtless at least had that much info.

Can you imagine being at a news desk and a guy calls; "Um, yeah, I have information of a secret FBI investigation into the head of the CIA.  The investigation is being buried to protect Obama before the election!'

Um, yeah, thanks for you call.   I'll take a note and have someone get back to you Mr. ....

      Call me Shirtless.
