  •  Both Reichert & Cantor Failed To Inform..... (4+ / 0-)

the Senate Intelligence Committee.  That should have been their first step if they suspected a breach of national security.  So....was there or wasn't there?

When the FBI concluded their investigation on November 2nd....they said not.  The plot thickens.

Cantor did the right thing by going to the FBI and saying look one of your own told us about this investigation and letting the FBI sort it out.  I am sure he didn't do it out of pure motive but he was right not to go blabbing to other representatives or senators  or the press with the limited information he had

If this is a matter of national security today, it was 3 weeks ago, as well.

Eric Cantor should have informed the Senate Intelligence Committee about the then ongoing investigation into General Petraeus.

Wouldn't the Director of the FBI already know that the FBI under his direction was investigating Petraeus?   Or do random FBI people conduct investigations without checking w/ the boss?
