  •  Good point SneakySnu. But compared to Rick Berry, (3+ / 0-)

Michelle Bachmann, Sarah Palin, and Paul Ryan this guy is like a university professor.

Which may doom him to oblivion as far as the Republicans are concerned.  When I used the term rising-star, I was just looking for a quick "kicker" to close out this post, not staking my reputation on a cogent political analysis.

I woke up late, so was just trying to get into a writing grove with a quickie.  If I write just 60 more post I can get on the front page of the "Most Frequent Authors" list, which was one of my goals this year  by the election to help reelect President Obama and as many "more and and better Democrats" as possible.

But, I fell short. So I figure if I keep up the pace for about 2 or 3 more weeks, I can check that goal off my bucket list and go back to playing Civilization 5 simulations.  I just need to meet the quota -- there's no quality standards attached to this goal -- so please cut me some slack here. ;-)

But I think Jindal considers himself a well-established member of the party and he's looking to be a player in upcoming elections.  He appears to have the personality of tree bark, so I don't think he's going to have much success in a public leadership role within the party.
