  •  I found an odd little story (7+ / 0-)

about Petraeus. He backed the twin of Jill Kelley in her child custody case. Strange in and of itself.

The judge in the case was not so impressed which calls in to question his judgement, not to mention WTF?

And since the four-star general sought to aid his Tampa, FL friend's married sister by writing a letter aiding her in a fierce custody battle a mere two months ago, then Broadwell might have more justified suspicions.

Jill Kelley's twin is psychologically unstable and a liar according to the judge who has dealt with her and her husband Grayson Wolfe as they battled it out for who was getting custody of their son.

The judge blasted Khawam for giving false evidence, and noted that a court-ordered shrink had found her domestic-violence allegations to be “part of an ever-expanding set of sensational accusations . . . that are so numerous, so extraordinary and [so] distorted that they defy any common-sense view of reality.”
      Warning: NY Post link.

She was apparently dating a Democratic lawyer/fundraiser and had been to DSCC events. So, if we throw in the twin sister, the story just gets even weirder. Oh, and Allen wrote a letter for her in the child custody case as well.

about the same time this one came out.

VERY strange indeed that both Petraeus and Allen would write "letters of recommendation" for Jill Kelley's sister.

When pretty much all the evidence in the case points to her being a nut who falsely accused her ex of abuse, among other things (then went after the exes' lawyer for sexual harrassment.)

What is it with the Generals and all these unstable ladies?

on the letters. Wouldn't that be completely inappropriate? I'm a lawyer in a private company and we can't use company letterhead for private purposes. How can a general and the head of the friggin CIA use their official positions in a child custody case? Plus, they seem to have totally been on the wrong side. These guys have seriously bad judgment. Where most people work, they would get fired just for these letters, never mind the rest of the stuff.

It's not the sex....it's all the really terrible judgments that go along with it.

What I don't get is, what did Jill Kelley have on Petraeus - assuming he's telling the truth about their relationship being only social.  Was he showing off for her by doing her a favor?  Seems mighty risky.  And like you said, the generals were clearly on the wrong side of this case...if they'd taken the time - or had one of their aides take the time - to look into the case, they would've know this.

          It's just strange and sleazy.

        •  And both of these assholes are in the process of (0+ / 0-)

          being fired.

Whatever she was a liaison for... it wasn't to do with supporting the troops in Tampa.

    •  Can you unpack Jill Kelley's $80,000,000 fee? (0+ / 0-)

She was asking for a finder's fee if a coal deal came to fruition.
