  •  I do not know whether you noticed that Obama (0+ / 0-)

    stopped the Bush torture practices on his first or second day in office. That counts for a lot in my book.

    He also presided over financial reform, which seemed real enough that it was strongly opposed from the right. The professional left also opposed it because they like to be irrelevant - at least it looks very much like that.

    Appointments: you know that they work for the President? And that he decides the policy?
