I hope the overwhelming majority of the straight people fighting for marriage equality did so because they have LGBTQ friends and family members, and they found the current inequality under the law repugnant, and the rhetorical attacks on LGBTQs despicable.

Maybe I'm weird, but I've never in my life said to myself, "I think I'll support the anti-"Stop-and-Frisk" protests; then urban people of color will show up for my climate or women's or anti-war rallies!"

these issues are actually interconnected.  Climate change and rights for all and an end to war are all part of the same thing.  What amazes me is that when we shouted about this exact thing often during occupy and got attacked for not focusing on one thing.  It's good to see that people recognize that we need solidarity for these things to happen.

The revolution will not be televised. But it will be blogged, a lot. Probably more so than is necessary.
