  •  I saw this diary when it first came up, (6+ / 0-)

but I could not open it. Today as I drank my morning coffee, I decided I could. Well written, moving - I see some of who your Dad is, and the love you share. Thanks. As I write this I'm crying. It's been twenty-nine years since I lost my dad to cancer and it still hurts. I'm smiling too, because after all that time, I still have the love we shared. That gift is worth the pain. I believe you're as blessed as I.

"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed, and hence clamorous to be led to safety, by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." H.L. Mencken, 1925
