I am still steamed over the false equivalency fact-checking I happened to catch on CNN:  see here, Romney wants to do all these tax cuts, and says he'll offset by eliminating deductions, but his math does not add up.  Ok, I thinks, they could have also pointed out the $2 trillion in additional defense spending but ok, decent start.

THEN, they show how Obama is just as bad and untrustworthy, because Obama's higher taxes on millionaires won't pay off the deficit.

Goddam false equivalent bastards.  They compare Romney not showing how he'll pay for the new hits he wants to deliver to the deficit, not even mentioning all the hits, let alone addressing the existing debt--to Obama raising taxes to pay down a good part of the existing debt?  Especially when Obama has always said he's open to spending cuts, so long as there are also revenue hikes?

Beware of factcheckers, as we've seen all too often.

Example:  Michelle Bachmann claimed gas to be $1.80 or so at inaugeration.
Politifact rated it true, period.  No mention that gas prices plunged only as we were losing a half million jobs or more a month, or that most of Ws time was with artificially high prices from his destabilizing the middle east.

Meanwhile, unless Obama qualifies every statement to the hundredth degree, footnotes it, and doesn't round off below 8 decimal places, any statement made is half true.  "Sky is blue" Politifact:  Not at night , sunrise or sunset or if cloud cover is complete:  mostly false.

These capitalists generally act harmoniously and in concert to fleece the people, and now that they have got into a quarrel with themselves, we are called upon to appropriate the people's money to settle the quarrel. Abraham Lincoln
