  •  I don't know about that... (16+ / 0-)

...but I do know that if McCain starts sounding like the whackjobs on Fox News and talk radio in spouting nonsense conspiracy theories about Benghazi, it's quite understandable to wonder if he's lost it.

I, however, think it's just bitterness from the 2008 campaign that has increased following the events of last Tuesday. I don't think he's unhappy Romney lost (he hates Mitt almost as much as he hates Obama), but he was hoping to see Obama defeated and himself avenged by proxy. Now that that'll never happen and he sees Obama making a victory lap, he's come unhinged and is lashing out in any way he can, no matter how ridiculous or petty.

Graham, on the other hand, is doing this with survival on his mind. If he wants to fend off the expected primary challenge he'll get in 2014, he has to prove himself to the base and what better way then to get into a public pissing contest with the Kenyan Muslim Anti-Christ?

Ayotte...who the hell knows? A no-name backbencher trying to make a name for herself? Or maybe since Joe Lieberman is leaving, McCain and Graham need a new third member for their little Three Stooges act and Ayotte's getting a trial run. I dunno, she seems like a Joe Besser.

    •  An Example Of Why My Filibuster-Reform Idea... (0+ / 0-)

...includes a requirement that the filibusterer hold the floor with cameras rolling and the output from those cameras released without restrictions (i.e. usable for campaign ads, public commentary via remixing, etc).

Under those rules, it's only a matter of time before one of these clowns drops the n-bomb or otherwise disgraces himself beyond the ability of their friends in the mainstream media to softpedal for them.

On the Internet, nobody knows if you're a dog... but everybody knows if you're a jackass.
