the issue now as "you won't compromise", therefore I won't listen to you?

    You've given false choices here:

    1. Raising the taxes on the wealthy is more important that our social safety net.

    2. Raising taxes for everyone to get the wealthy to pay their patriotic fair share is your goal.

    And finally:

RAISING TAXES WHILE CUTTING BENEFITS IS THE ONLY CHOICES WE HAVE.

I think I need a drink now and dammit, I've been sober for over 23 freaking yrs!

You're logic is flawed.  So are your false choices. And so are your goals.

How about a balanced approach? Say the most wealthy pay the 28% in taxes that I do, no deductions, no tax havens, no blind trusts? How about that?

How about penalizing corporations for offshoring jobs? Raise their tax rates to 70% for every American job they send to a slave labored nation?

Let's look at the corporate tax rates that average 15%, why's that again? Why does GE not pay any taxes and yet had $14.2 Billion in profits?

You'd have us believe that it must be capitalism for the poor and socialism for the most wealthy? Corporate profits are sacrosanct? After all, they'll create jobs if we keep letting them rape and pillage!

I don't buy into it and haven't for a very long time!
