  •  We have a great new bakery/deli (30+ / 0-)

in our tiny town, owned by a young couple, both chefs, who are now living out their dream of having their own place.
It's a fabulous place. They decorated themselves with as much reused material as possible, so it has an eclectic feel. They grow their own fruits and veggies in a garden out front and buy local/organic and offer gluten-free.
We're giving the husband a hard time right now because somehow, in the midst of opening a business, he managed to get his wife pregnant, too. So they will be having a baby within the first year their new business is open.
I admire their courage to much, love their great food.
People have flocked to them since they opened, and they've expanded their hours again and again.
I'm so happy for them, for offering great food, for taking the chance, for loving what they do.
Worked in some restaurants in high school and college. Know how crappy they can be.

So sorry people are such jerks to your wife.

Papa John's -- he gave $20 million to the University of Louisville, mostly to fund a football stadium that now carries the Papa John's name.

So he can spend money on a football stadium, but not a few cents per pizza to provide health care to his employees.

Confession time: When I'm not ranting about politics, I write romance novels
