  •  Every election season, I look at signs. (6+ / 0-)

I notice which businesses have posted or allowed their road frontage to be used for signs for which candidates. I transact my business accordingly. One reason my vet's an hour and a half away is because she has one of our Raven's relatives. Another is that our former vet once posted up signs for a Republican candidate for state legislature, which immediately caused me to move my business. We have 7 animals and a lot of veterinary business to transact.

I vote with my business. Papa John's is out of the question. Now Denny's and Applebee's as well as Red Lobster and Olive Garden. I know it's one particular franchisee that's got the attitude, but the bad apple does taint the barrel unless the parent companies strongly reject this behavior, flat-out state that this is nit behavior that franchisees are permitted, and follow up with adequate financial punishments and changes to contracts (or removal of the company name from the franchise).

Organ donors save lives! A donor's kidney gave me my life back on 02/18/11; he lives on in me. Please talk with your family about your wish to donate.

Why are war casualty counts "American troops" and "others" but never "human beings"?
