  •  I wonder if most RWNJs think... (12+ / 0-)

I wonder if most RWNJs think that the more square miles lean "right", the more likely a state will go red?

Does anyone realize how comparatively few people live in those giant southern, eastern, and southeastern counties in Oregon?

I'm beginning to think that their only communication with life on earth is through their AM talk radio stations.

Which reminds me:  Last week the ONLY progressive talk radio station in Portland Oregon switched over to Fox Sports -- and whaddyaknow, when I turned on my car radio yesterday, which repugnant nasty fat bloated voice did I hear?  Yeah, Jabba the Rush Limbaugh.

I soon won't even have the option of tuning in to Seattle's one lonesome progressive talk radio station KPTK 1090, because I've been told that they will switch over to Fox Sports, too -- which means Rush Limbaugh won't be far behind there either.

Clear Channel and the right wingers can't be satisfied with 97% of the over-the-air AM radio stations, they want all 100% -- and the FCC is letting them get away with the monopoly.  Disgusting.

    •  I think this is a huge story... (0+ / 0-)

I live in Salem and listened to KPOJ a lot.  Has anyone done a diary on the loss of this very important format?

I am all for community radio such as our local KBOO, but I strongly feel that Thom Hartmann, Ed Shultz, Randi Rhodes, Norman Goldman, Mike Papatonio, Karl Wolfson... etc... did a great job of EDUCATING people.  I got a lot of my news from those shows.
