      Loved being represented by Pete.  Now represented by the Blue Dog Kurt Schrader.  Not nearly as exciting, but at least not a GOPer, I suppose.

      We are currently living through the greatest redistribution of wealth in our nation's history. The rich and the corporations are using their money and power to obtain even more money and power. We must fight back while there is still time.

        Canby, where Kurt lives.  He was our veterinarian for a bit before he was in congress, my dad coached one of his daughters in softball, and I interned for his ex-wife when she replaced him in the state senate.  He's much more progressive as a member of congress than he was as a state legislature, but that's probably because when he was first elected in 1996 to the state house, his district was composed of much of the rural area and small towns in Clackamas County, very conservative areas.
