indicate a split between those who believe that the Middle East state of Israel must be supported in every action, and those who indicate some hesitancy in signing onto every military foray of Israel.  As a Christian, I simply wish all people well, and I try, sometime without success, to reserve my ideological battles for contests between what I see as truth and lies.  The fundamental problem, as I see it, is a dispute between the sons of Abraham over who are the rightful heirs of the man that the Muslims call Ibrahim.  And central to that dispute is ownership of a spit of land where Joseph's bones are interred, where Muhammad took a night tour of heaven, and to which the word "sacred" has been applied by both families of Abraham.  The solution may lie in Jesus' teaching that the Holy Spirit is not imbedded in any one place, but is like the wind which simply follows the lead of any people who are doing the right things. Thus, the argument over which scions of Abraham have the legal title to Palestine may be an irrelevant waste of time if the Holy Spirit has left the Middle East and is now following a group of people, of every race and creed, who are trying to create a more perfect union in the United States.
