This would be full recognition as a State, similar to the status Switzerland had for 50 some years.

It would be the equivalent of the whole world saying "Yes, you're a State, but the USA won't let you join the UN".

"the Agency continues to verify the non-diversion of declared material at these facilities and LOFs."

in the context of the point I was making about the factors coming into play for this offensive on Gaza. I thought that what was germane about 'non-member observer state' was the difference in statehood status, not whether Palestine was an observer body of some kind (current status) or observer state (status to be decided). Whether Palestine is an observer or non-observer of the UN is far less controversial as to whether it is a state (member of the UN or not) which means that it has access to all sorts of instruments and agencies of international law and could thus make life very difficult for Israeli govt officials - for a start.

      •  They would be a "Non-Member State" with a mission (0+ / 0-)

to the UN, as opposed to a body with observer status.

This would be full recognition as a State.
