Trump has been doing these commercials for Macy's for about 4 or 5 years and he was a racist, pompous jerk even before this election. Macy's has been gobbling up stores across the country for years as well. To all of a sudden realize what's been going on under your nose for so long is not being an enlightened progressive.

commercial.  I'm tipping your remark as acknowledgement of your pov - which I don't agree with.  There is nothing feigned about my reactions to birtherism.

I have spent years ignoring Donald Trump.  But he has inserted himself into my comfort zone.

I'm not sure why you label the outrage "feigned". Speaking for myself, I do think it's outrageous of Macy's to use a right-wing blowhard like The Donald in their marketing.

If you had been paying attention you'd see that this site has been protesting Donald Trump and his birther antics for quite some time. Now that Macy's has decided to associate their brand with that fool they are coming in for richly deserved criticism themselves.

As I posted, Macy's has used Trump in its advertising for years.

This is the same thing that Fox does, like the Obamaphones, manufacture some outrage to fire up the base, only to find out that this has been going on for years.

If you are now upset because Trump raised the birther thing with the President, you haven't been paying attention. Trump and his father lorded over tenements in New York for years, forcing low income minorities to live in rat infested buildings while sucking up their rent checks, waiting for the properties to decay so far they could get the city to condemn them and kick everyone out to build their empire.

You want to boycott Macy's? Fine, all I'm saying is that you don't have to boycott something which you should have known from the beginning was wrong.
