    that the last time there was a tie, Congress never had a chance to settle the tie.  A highly partisan (corrupt?) SCOTUS intervened.

    A partisan Congress is something we expect and if we don't like their decision, we have a remedy every two years.  A partisan SCOTUS that injects itself so brazenly in electoral politics can continue for decades.  A partisan Justice can manage their retirement so they can be replaced by a similarly partisan President.  Last time the SCOTUS faced that, it worked great for Sandra.

    I know my vote was never counted and I'm still pissed.

    I screwed up with a careless uprate so I'm a "No Rate" pariah. When I give a comment "+1 n/t", please consider that a recommend. (That's my workaround to participate here). DK haiku, one complete thought in a title field. Roar louder!
