A friend of mine works at Boeing. A few months ago, she complained to me that her premiums went up (already!) because of the "Cadillac tax" in Obamacare. And she was angry. I went home and did some research. Sent her two links.

    One link said...

    a) The Cadillac surtax doesn't even go into effect until 2018!!
    b) Only amounts OVER $10,200 for individual coverage and $27,500 for family coverage are subject to the Cadillac surtax. (page 3)

    The other link said...

The law imposes a tax from 2018 on, for health plans perceived as particularly generous: specifically, those that cost more than $10,200 for single coverage or $27,500 for family coverage.
Boeing spokesman Tim Healy said the company health plans don't exceed those thresholds now but might by 2018.
    My emphasis added.

I don't know how my friend got such bad information... was it misinformation from management, or did she just jump to faulty conclusions?

I am really glad that Obamacare will not be repealed...when it goes into effect, everyone can see that their "sky is falling" rhetoric was pure BS.
