          thieves are brilliant... ;)

So fighting against something, railing about how it will all but end the world and finally going along with it shows smarts?   To each their own opinions....

          •  I think this is not a problem. (2+ / 0-)

As I understand it, there are only 2 options:

            1. The state runs its own exchange.

            2. The Feds run the state's exchange.

Having no exchange is not an option.

If a state run by GOP assholes (like mine, Georgia) chose to run its own exchange, it would probably try to make it as dysfunctional as possible. Not to mention underfunded. But if the Feds run the state's exchange, it will probably be decently run, or at least not intentionally sabotaged. And will the money even come out of the state's budget?

So having the Feds run the state's exchange means it will probably be better-run, and the expense dumped on the federal government instead of funded through state taxes.

I don't have a problem with that. Hell, even if I were a progressive Dem governor, I might well let the Feds run my state's exchange. Not like I wouldn't have a zillion other problems that need paying for and managing; why take on another?

they will then proceed to whine and gripe and moan about every tiny little bit of bureaucratic problem, real or perceived.
