    McCain's legacy.  And perhaps the wish that (figuratively) it's time to bury him.  In the context of this diary, I don't personally find the illustration offensive or uncomfortable -- it's political commentary.  But that's just me.

      it's all perhaps a bit too ad-hominem in the most eternal sense.

      McCain's ultimate epitaph will show that he was a War Veteran, a POW, and a U.S. Senator.

      His decline into assholery will ultimately be a footnote.

        Of course I do have a big problem when I see his years as a POW joked about or denigrated.  As well, it makes me uncomfortable when commentators use rhetoric to wish him harm or hope for his (or any political opponent's) death.  Maybe the epitaph illustration pushes things too far in that direction for some.
