  •  turn off CNN and start watching MNBC (6+ / 0-)

their shows have all been defensing Susan Rice and have had guests that have done the same thing and it's been this way for a few days.

after petraeus testimony yesterday, mccain looked like a dog with a tail between his legs when he was talking to the assembled media....short statement and he was down. he knew he blew it.

those right wing congress critters have assured that Susan Rice will be the next Secretary of State for the United States and we'll be fortunate to have her in that position.

mittens=edsel. no matter how much money is spent to promote it, if the product sucks, no one will buy it.

    •  I don't watch CNN. I'm aware that MSNBC (6+ / 0-)

in selected time slots has been defending Rice - what I'm talking about is the non-left progressive press and punditry.  Most people don't watch MSNBC, plenty don't have cable.

though  network news doesn't have the numbers it used to - it far exceeds cable

Numbers for the week of November 5:
          NBC    ABC    CBS
      • Total Viewers:    9,106,000    8,342,000    7,094,000
      • A25-54:    2,696,000    2,316,000    2,089,000

you can compare with cable numbers here

      •  true (3+ / 0-)

but the portions of O's coalition under the age of 40 regardless of demographics don't get their news from traditional sources any longer including network news.

the people who watch network news are not going to have their minds changed very easily.

my point is, network news is useless for getting accurate info so it's a waste of time watching it and even more of a waste of time trying to get them to do anything about it.

msnbc did have higher ratings on election night and the day after than both Fox and CNN so from where I sit, that is significant progress.
