  •  Strange - I've worked the polls for years (0+ / 0-)

    here in Michigan and we take a pledge before opening up at 7am on voting day but - to honor the Constitution and uphold the laws of the state and federal government regarding fair and honest elections...... never even mention a party.  I know our county clerk makes sure there are representatives from both major parties at each precinct in case there are any questions or disputes to be resolved.

      From what I could make of the linked article, this is about the elected party committee members, the ones who (in theory, anyway) determine the direction of the party, elect party leadership, and select which candidates get the party endorsement.
