  •  Christmas of 2007 we adopted a rescue (10+ / 0-)

Chihuahua.  He'd been kept in a cage all 5 years of his life, and starved to keep him tiny.  He weighed barely 5 lbs, had horribly infected teeth & gums, and was near death from malnutrition.  For the first few weeks I carried him around in a snuggli just to comfort him. The vet thought he wasn't going to make it.  It took a while, but he pulled through, and today he weighs 8 lbs, and is strong, healthy, and the most precious, loving little guy you could imagine. Hats off & blessings to the wonderful rescue people who do the really hard work--go out in the trenches and save the pooties and woozles from certain death.  All you need is LOVE!!!

Grimmy had to get wheels because his hind legs did not work.
