    to deny the National Government to Romney and loons like Akins, then I'd say that gamble has already paid off.

    Elections either matter or they don't. You can't have it both ways. If you thought it important to defeat the likes of Romney, et al, then an abstentionist stance was clearly an error.

    Considering that the election is over, it seems counter productive  to keep debating this point. We need to be gearing up for mass action against austerity, not squabbling over ideological agendas. The substantive question is whether Occupy is capable of playing an effective role in that struggle going forward. Occupy Sandy gives me some hope that it can, as do the various Occupy our Homes initiatives around the country.

    OWS played a vital and effective role in changing the public discourse and deserves credit for doing so but that's past tense. What matters now is the future.

    Nothing human is alien to me.
