  •  I like him as well, quite a bit most of the time (0+ / 0-)

I didn't catch it as humor, sorry. Tone doesn't always carry online very well.

    •  I would recommend your post (1+ / 0-)

But I cant.  I am NR :(  I think in reality you and I agree on the big picture.  I am sure you mean well.   You are just wrong on the Rice issue :)  Cheers.

      •  Probably just as well that you can't rec (0+ / 0-)

as she recommended the two comments just above and below the one she posted of yours, calling Assange a sexual predator and a sexual assailant.
        So who knows really.
Maybe she didn't have her glasses on.

        •  No, I don't... (0+ / 0-)

but thanks for bringing it to my attention because I do not think Assange is a "sexual predator." To suggest that I do is patently fucking insane given that I've lent him some of the strongest support on this site that I've yet seen and respect him an awful lot. But I don't think he'd make a good SOS considering that he's hated by the U.S. Government, ya know...

        •  Where? I don't see what you're talking about n/t (0+ / 0-)
          •  nice try (0+ / 0-)

screen caps, don't make me show them.
I agree on Assange, but then again no one has seriously suggested otherwise.

              a documented, and VISIBLE, disability.

You want a screen cap of my fucking turned out eye? I'll share one with the moderators if they ask for it. It's pretty fucking evident to anyone who takes a single look at me, and it's a documented disability no less.

So stop FUCKING MOCKING ME FOR IT.

            •  "nice try" you say, snidely (0+ / 0-)

when in fact, it was completely factual that I couldn't see it. I looked over it SEVERAL times before seeing it. The closeness of "assailant" and "Assange" were not picked up.

This link shows what reading online for me can easily look like (it's actually much more degraded than in this example -- scroll down to the part which shows an example of "Tracking" and what that looks like, and then combine it with "focus":

I am almost legally blind in one eye because of this, but only sometimes. It comes and it goes.

              "Nice try" you say.

              It was my BEST try.

I'm sorry I can't see well 100% of the time, and I'm sorry that you have a problem with this and find it worth making fun of or denigrating.

          •  Found it (0+ / 0-)

the previous word "assailant" blended in with Assange completely.

I wear glasses due to a visual tracking disorder which causes words to sort of "leap" together in a way that's hard to explain; it's not always noticeable to me since I always squint while reading. One eye is out of synch, badly, with the other. It's a result of intermittent exotropia and is technically labeled a disability due to how it interrupts my reading.

I don't appreciate whatsoever being "called out" for a legitimate medical problem -- by someone who should damned well know better, since she is aware of this long-standing problem that I have. I should wear my readers when I read, but sometimes the words aren't jumping as much, or sometimes they are okay when I come online and then get worse as my eyes fatigue if I've been online for a while, as today. Also, glasses don't fully fix this issue. They help a bit.

Bottom line: it's not a joking matter. I have special accommodations made for computer tests because of this. It's literally a documented disability that was mocked by the poster. Really fucking wretched.

            •  look (0+ / 0-)

you removed your recs on those comments just now.
It's not too late to put them back if you want.
I'm sorry about your vision disability.
I'm just pretty tired of people going around trying to discredit other users, questioning their loyalties, tossing around out of context comments, and demanding that they answer questions. Sometimes I find myself wanting to defend obvious trolls just because the third degree is so annoying and distasteful.

For your future information even when you remove a rec it stays in your comments rated section.

              •  You mocked me for a disability (0+ / 0-)

you knew I had. Yes, you said where to look for the comment. I did and removed the rec. You don't have to screen cap that (what's your point in doing that precisely)... all recs remain forever on your recs in your personal page. I unrec'd it because I don't agree with it.

But you mocked my visual disability. And you know DAMNED WELL about it. It's how you KNEW I wore glasses and that it impaired, at times, my reading. You mocked my fucking disability! I can't believe that. I am in shock at that. Whatever your goddamned motivation was, it's inappropriate under any circumstance to MOCK openly someone's legitimate physical disability.

I'm about ready to post a picture of what it looks like so you realize how ugly your comment is here. It's REALLY ugly. You should literally be completely ashamed of what you are doing, taking swings at me over what I CANNOT clearly read. Why don't you just mock the 90 year old posters on here too for their visual impairments? Mine's NO DIFFERENT.

              •  Oh Burned, here's something for your edification (0+ / 0-)

Maybe it will help you understand what you are making fun of a bit better. This is what I suffer from:

It is exactly the same thing. See how she can make her eyes straight, but then they deviate too? You should try reading online with this disorder.

But you knew that, and you care, right?

                Screencap this.
