I'm pretty bright. I'm not Republican, I'm not racist.

But I'd like to know why Rice denied the Benghazi request for more security. Republican cuts to diplomatic security isn't a good answer, because cutting a few cars from our German or Japanese (or etc etc) embassies' motorcades could have paid for the clearly higher priority Benghazi security.

Republicans are stupid, and don't care about Benghazi except as a way to attack Democrats. They're stupid and will attack Rice because she's a Black woman.

But I'm not stupid, and I still haven't heard a convincing answer for why Rice didn't supply the security that was needed when Benghazi was attacked. I also haven't heard a convincing denial that the CIA base that was attacked was actually following Obama's Executive Order barring the CIA from keeping captives, which sounds like the reason the attackers hit the place.

It all sounds like a typically severe CIA screwup. Probably including Rice leaving security in CIA hands instead of the requested additional State Department security.

But with the Republican stupidity serving as smokescreen, I really don't know. If Rice could make the truth clear, I'd be a lot happier thinking of her taking over from SoS Clinton.

She has nothing to do with setting up CIA security.

Sorry (to Susan Rice): I should have said "Charlene Lamb", the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, who was actually the person responsible for declining the requested security increase in Benghazi.

Indeed there's no sign that Susan Rice had anything whatsoever to do with the Benghazi crisis, except to communicate the offical facts given her office at the time.

        Thanks for catching my mistake.

I do think that Lamb is getting away with her error, probably by CIA design to cover CIA responsibility - that the CIA is violating the Executive Order and responsible in many ways for the Benghazi crisis.

But I blew it here and gave up my chance to press that issue. Sorry.
