  •  I am already a low-shopper (6+ / 0-)

that is, I don't shop often and I don't spend much when I do.  Me saying I won't shop a certain day has no impact, since I don't usually shop that day anyway.  I shop once a month on pay day for non-perishables (non-grocery as well as grocery items) and weekly for perishable groceries.  Black Friday is weeks after and days before payday. It's also not my weekly perishable shopping day (which used to be Sunday but many of the stores are now closing on Sundays - Bible Belt, yanno - so it's been shifting to Mondays). Therefore, Ive never shopped Black Friday.

And because people get so rude between Thanksgiving and New Year's, I try not to do my monthly non-perishable shopping in December.  Grocery stores are OK except the 2 - 3 days before Christmas if it falls on my regular perishable shopping day, so I either skip it or plan around it.

I am just not a shopper, so I suppose, by default and with zero impact, I'm complying with your request.
