    No shopping on Thanksgiving is, frankly, no big deal. It's the day AFTER Thanksgiving that would turn some heads, raise a few eyebrows, and lower portfolio values a notch. If enough people took part.

      It is not a holiday so there is no real expectation that it should be off (though if I had a magic wand I'd make it that way), but it should be just like any other business day. That is why I think that pledging not to shop before 10am is important. That way the workers get to have thier holiday and don't have to cut it short to be there at an ungodly hour.

      I will not shop on Thanksgiving nor before 10am on the following Friday out of solidarity with retail workers! Please do the same.
